The canal trust have just applied for a restoration grant for the boat, paint has been ordered from RapidPaint in Birmingham, see www.narrowboatcolours.co.uk and portholes have been ordered from Worcester Marine windows. Both of these companies have been very helpful and given us valuable discounts on their products. I will post some pictures as soon as I can. How do I do that though?

Alder was launched into Over Basin today March 31st, work now begins on the interior and topsides. It is hoped it can be kept and used on the main canal system in the future.

Alders stern, made into a 22 ft push tug by BW in 1965 and a standard 37ft tug in 1968/9 is now at Over Basin near Gloucester. It has been given to the Hereford & Gloucester Canal Trust by BW and is being refurbished for use by the Trust.
